To PROVIDE …………. To give sth to sb or make it available for them to use

H.I.V………… Human Immunodeficiency Virus (it’s the virus that can cause AIDS)

A.I.D.S …………… Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (it’s an illness, a sickness)

A.A.S.E.D………… Association for the Assistance of Children in Need (it’s an association set up by Mother Mary that cares for vulnerable children.


LANGUAGE FUNCTION Present Perfect tense

Structure:
have/has or am/is/are+ past participle of the main verb .
EXAMPLE: Mother Mary has helped people affected by HIV or AIDS.
